A seminar on the novel Baromas (written by Sadanand Deshmukh) was organised by the Dept. of English on Friday, 24 January 2020. Dr. E. S. Patil (Head, Dept. of Hindi, Radhanagari Mahavidyalaya, Radhanagari) who has submitted his Minor Research Project on the Marathi and Hindi novels related to the issues of farmers was invited to the seminar as a resource person. After a brief introduction to the novel, Dr Patil talked on the different themes of the novel. He compared the novel with the other novels from Hindi and Marathi as well. He also discussed the social issues raised in the novel. The seminar was chaired by Dr N. A. Jarandikar.

Before the presentation of Dr E. S. Patil, Ms Pushpa Vanjare (Student) informed about the writer Sadanand Deshmukh. Ms Rupali Dehere (Student) briefed the novel Baromas. Ms Tanuja Patil (Student) read out significant passages from the novel. Ms Amita Chougale (Student) introduced the resource person. Ms Raisa Mahat (Student) anchored the seminar. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Alpita Parit (Student).
For the seminar, all the B. A. Part III students were present. Similarly, Prof. B. K. Patil, Prof. P. A. Mokashi, Mr. K. M. Kumbhar (Librarian), Prof. Sangram Patil were also present for the seminar.
